Engineer and Entrepreneur.
Early Life
I started as a kid who was super interested in Physics. If anyone would ask what I wanted to be, the reply from this starry-eyed me was - Astronaut.
Encountered computers for the first time at 14 years old. It was love at first sight. Now I wanted to be a Hacker.
College
Went on to receive engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. My inner hacker came out during Counter-Strike matches where I would setup the LAN infra and help people get ready for the tourny. Poker was something I found interesting in college along with some digital design, Linear algebra, and computer networks.
Early work
Started work with semiconductors - Focussed on Wireless communications. Specifically cryptography and security layers. Contributed to Bluetooth low energy specification. Wrote few papers ^1^2
Did a small business adventure while working and got my first taste of entrepreneurship. The idea was to help companies hire better from tier2/3 colleges. Got 6000 students involved, few companies came in with sponsorship. Made a few Lakhs.
Entrepreneurship
Later quit the job to help SMBs use social network for customer acquisition and retention. Had 25,000 small and medium businesses as customers. Built a team. Raised funds. Made a lot of mistakes. Learned a lot. A few years later, this startup got acquihired.
Now working on decentralisation tech and open networks to invert the accumulation of value from platforms to nodes. Taking ONDC to tier2/3 towns of India. Passionate about using technology to empower SMBs.
I enjoy writing about:
- Technology
- Product
- Strategy
- Team Building and Culture
- Open Networks
- Decentralisation
